Port harcourt: Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has worn in five new commissioners and two special advisers at the executive chambers of the Government port Harcourt.
The appointment was officially made known on Wednesday, the governor urged them to refrain from responding, either verbally or electronically to the provocations of his political opponent
Fubara in his statement said the intention of his opponents is to divert his administration’s focus and concentration from achieving its set goals, saying it is important to maintain focus and dedication to the administration.
The Governor said the appointments are made for the betterment of cabinet and foster development in Rivers state.

He said those who are interested in seeing results would not be bothered about how many court judgments have been secured or the number of protests on the streets.
Governor Fubara expressed his appreciation for the dedication of the appointees, particularly their commitment to standing for truth and justice in their respective localities.
The newly appointed commissioners were screened and confirmed by the Rivers State House of Assembly, led by Victor Oko-Jumbo on Tuesday.

Fubara tasked Mr Anya to promote unity and peace among non indigines residing in Rivers State
Other commissioners appointed along Anya by Governor Fubara are Mrwhil Ilamu Arugu, Rowland Obed-Whyte, Samuel Eyiba and Austin Emeka Nnadozie.
While Achor Nna, a former Councillor in Nyesom Wike’s ward who resigned as the Leader of Obio/Akpor Legislative Assembly in March and Forgiven Amachree, a former chieftain of the All Progressives Congress are appointed as special advicers to the governor.
