Among the standout appearances was Osas Ighodaro, who wore two custom creations by Veekee James. One of the outfits was a dramatic red sculptural gown with a towering collar, while the second was a silver ball gown constructed with crystal embellishments and reportedly made from hundreds of repurposed metal sponges, drawing widespread attention for its unconventional craftsmanship.

Nana Akua Addo also dominated the red carpet with three elaborate looks that many described as wearable art. Her outfits included a cathedral-inspired gown, a stone-textured mermaid dress and a spiral fish-scale design, each reflecting theatrical storytelling and high-concept styling.

Another major talking point was Linda Ejiofor-Suleiman, who arrived in a shimmering emerald gown adorned with intricate floral appliqués, butterfly accents and metallic detailing. Her appearance was made even more notable by her double win at the ceremony, where she reportedly clinched two acting awards.

Several other celebrities also drew admiration for their fashion choices, including Mercy Eke, Toyin Abraham, Bisola Aiyeola, Erica Nlewedim and Uche Jombo.

The event reinforced the AMVCA’s role as more than an entertainment awards show. It has increasingly become a major platform for African designers and stylists to push creative boundaries, with fashion now standing shoulder to shoulder with film as one of the night’s biggest attractions.
