Ekiti State:The Commissioner for finance,fiscal planning and statistics Stated on Sunday that it has accomplished the calculation of the state’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the fiscal years 2018-2022.
Niyi Adebayo, brought this up in Ado Ekiti during the State Consultative Committee on Statistics’ (SCCS) first quarter assembly in 2024.
According to Him, the National Statistics Office has finished analyzing the data after the information gathering phase. Mr. Adebayo swore that the magnitude, structure, and primary drivers of the financial system would be presented by accurately calculating the financial values of all completed things and providers created within the state within the reference interval.
He said that state authorities would be able to better understand how the state’s financial system was built and create policies and programs to address the identified idiosyncrasies if they calculated the data and broke down GDP.
He said the information gathered would allow the state’s GDP to be broken down by level of native authority for the first time in finance ministry.
In his statement, calculating the data and breaking down GDP by state authorities would assist perceive the construction of the state’s financial system and assist form authorities insurance policies and applications to deal with the recognized peculiarities.
He added that the Ekiti State Statistical master Plan (ESSMP), the national coverage document that guides the coordination and efficient functioning of our entire state statistical system, will quickly be reviewed.
