U.S.-based Nigerian registered nurse Bukola Akinpelu, popularly known as Nurse Sugar, has opened up about the difficult experiences she went through during her former marriage, including repeated requests from her ex-husband for a threesome.
Nurse Sugar made the revelation during an interview with media personality Ifedayo Agoro, where she spoke candidly about some of the events that contributed to the breakdown of her marriage.
According to her, her former husband frequently brought up the idea of having a threesome during their intimate moments.
She explained that the request was made so often that, out of 10 times they were intimate, he would raise the subject about 9.5 times. I would say if we got intimate 10 times, he would ask 9.5 times,” she said.
Nurse Sugar said she often responded affirmatively whenever her former husband made the request, but explained that her response was partly intended to bring the repeated conversation to an end.
She said refusing to agree would only prolong the discussion, particularly because the request was usually raised during intimate moments rather than discussed separately as an issue within the relationship. Nurse Sugar also spoke about conflicts that occurred during the marriage, admitting that she once held her former partner by his shirt during an altercation.
However, she clarified that she did not hit him.
She further alleged that her former husband insulted her parents during their relationship. Rather than immediately leaving, she said she eventually began responding by insulting his family whenever he insulted hers.
This, according to her account, contributed to a cycle of verbal conflict within the marriage.
The revelations form part of Nurse Sugar’s broader account of a marriage she described as troubled and emotionally difficult.
