Nobody Can Bully Me — Seyi Tinubu Breaks Silence Over King Mitchy, VeryDarkMan Controversy

Son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Seyi Tinubu, has reacted to allegations linking him to the ongoing social media dispute between influencers Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), and philanthropist Michelle Mukoro.

In a statement shared via his Instagram Story, Seyi Tinubu dismissed claims circulating online, insisting that no individual could intimidate or bully him while warning against spreading unfounded narratives.

His reaction follows escalating tensions between VeryDarkMan and King Mitchy, both known for their humanitarian and social intervention projects.

The controversy began after King Mitchy shared videos of a school renovation project reportedly completed within six days in Delta State, attributing part of the funding support to Seyi Tinubu.

The post generated mixed reactions online, with VeryDarkMan alleging that the project sponsorship suggested undisclosed relationships and political motives behind the influencer’s charity activities.

Responding to the allegations, Seyi Tinubu clarified that he had only met King Mitchy once publicly and supported her non-governmental organisation as part of his broader philanthropic efforts aimed at empowering young Nigerians.

If my name generates attention, let it at least be based on facts, he stated, adding that supporting charitable causes should not be criminalised or turned into scandal.

He further accused VeryDarkMan of attempting to damage his reputation by exploiting the situation for online confrontation.

The dispute intensified after a statement allegedly posted on King Mitchy’s social media page claimed that her life was in danger and later suggested she had died at an Abuja hospital.

However, management of Prime Care Hospital quickly debunked the report, describing it as false information.

The hospital confirmed that King Mitchy was neither admitted nor deceased at its facility and announced plans to work with authorities to trace the origin of the misinformation.

As of the time of filing this report, neither King Mitchy nor her management team had issued an official clarification regarding the viral claims.

King Mitchy, an award-winning philanthropist and content creator, has built a large following through charity outreach programmes, school renovations, and financial assistance initiatives for vulnerable communities.

Observers say the incident highlights growing concerns over misinformation, cyberbullying, and escalating rivalries among social media personalities in Nigeria’s digital space.

The controversy continues to generate widespread debate online, with supporters divided over allegations of political influence, philanthropy transparency, and responsible use of social media platforms.
