Concerned Igbo Ministers Commission, a religious organization, has claimed that Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, is being held detention continuously as part of a satanic plot against the Ndi Igbo people.
The group in a statement signed by the president/coordinator, Rev. Tony Uzo Anthony, and general secretary, Apostle Tony Osuji. accused South-East governors of being behind keeping Mazi Kanu in prison for political reasons and urged friends, traditional rulers, religious leaders, pressure groups, and the international community as a whole to unite and condemn it.
The statement says, Given that the presiding judge has openly refused to comply with a Supreme Court ruling on the matter, we read with great interest how the Kanu case has taken on a new dimension. Mazi Kanu is still being held unlawfully in Nigeria, but other people who committed more serious crimes have been released.
Surprisingly, more than two years ago, the same sitting judge—who eventually abstained herself—told Dr Sam Amadi that the allegations against Mazi Nnamdi Kanu were unfounded and politically motivated. Why, knowing this, would she decide to face Kanu in such a horrific manner?

As a group, we now think that the South-East governors are part of a plot to imprison Kanu continuously for political reasons. We formally accuse the governors of plotting to hold our son Kanu till the end of the next year and then free him to help President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in winning the states of the South-East and South-South.
South-East governors and Mr. President, please remember that no one knows what God has in store for him or her and that we are aware of their actions or conspiracies.Today, we are calling for our diaspora brothers and sisters to contact Kenya, Britain, South-East governors, and Mr President to plead with them to free Kanu, who has done nothing wrong.
It seems that the governors of the South-East, who now benefit from security votes, are the ones who oppose peace. Why not go see Nnamdi Kanu and talk to him if you too desire peace?
We call on the entire community, the traditional rulers, religious leaders, pressure groups, and the general public as well as our friends in Nigeria to unite and condemn this diabolical plot against Ndi Igbo and to reject this tyranny.
Whatever happens to our son, Kanu, you all will be held liable, he said
