WASHINGTON: Denzel Washington has just achieved a major career milestone with Gladiator II, marking it as his highest-grossing film of all time. Directed by Ridley Scott, the film has already earned $320.2 million worldwide, surpassing the success of American Gangster, which grossed $267.9 million.
Seventeen years after its release, American Gangster still holds the record for Washington’s highest domestic earnings at $130.1 million. However, Gladiator II is quickly catching up, already pulling in $111.4 million domestically.
