Khloé Kardashian recently revealed the emotional toll a betrayal of trust had on her mental health. In an interview with Bustle, the reality star shared how a former therapist’s decision to leak private details to a tabloid led her to stop therapy altogether.
My weight loss journey started because I was getting a divorce, Khloé explained. She recalled how, after one therapy session, personal information she had shared with the therapist ended up on a tabloid. I knew it was my therapist who leaked it because there’s no way this could have gotten out there otherwise,” she said.

The betrayal left Khloé feeling deeply distrustful, and she turned to the gym as a form of emotional release. I felt the safest at the gym, she added, noting that it became a sanctuary for her.
However, over time, she was encouraged by her older sister Kim Kardashian to see her own therapist. Initially hesitant, Khloé eventually gave in and discovered that therapy helped her more than she expected. I needed this, she said, revealing that her therapist even suggested increasing her sessions to three times a week.
