This was disclosed in a public announcement issued in Asaba on Friday by the Director of Public Communication and Functioning Permanent Secretary in the State Ministry of Information, Theresa Oliko.
According to the statement, the exercise will take place from Monday, March 17, to Friday, March 28, 2025, targeting crop and vegetable farmers, fish farmers, and livestock farmers who are already registered with the Delta State Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

The purpose of this exercise is to create a reliable database of genuine farmers eligible for government support. To achieve this, Agricultural Field and Extension Officers
will be deployed to capture farmers’ details, including the GPS coordinates of their farm locations.
In light of this, Local Government Chairmen, Traditional Rulers, Presidents-General, Women, and Youth Leaders are urged to mobilize registered farmers in their respective communities to participate.
Farmers are required to provide their National Identification Number (NIN) during the process.
The statement further noted that after this verification and validation phase, a new date will be announced for the registration of farmers who missed the initial registration opportunity.
