Cristiano Ronaldo inspired Al Nassr to their first Saudi Pro League title in seven years after scoring twice in a dominant 4-1 victory over Damac on the final day of the season.
The Portuguese superstar delivered a title-winning performance as Al Nassr sealed their first league crown since 2019, ending years of frustration in dramatic fashion.
Al Nassr entered the final game under pressure following a late setback against rivals Al Hilal in the previous round, but Ronaldo rose to the occasion with two second-half goals to secure the championship.
Sadio Mané and Kingsley Coman had earlier given Al Nassr a comfortable lead before Morlaye Sylla briefly pulled one back for Damac.
The Saudi Pro League triumph marks Ronaldo’s first major title since joining Al Nassr in January 2023 following his high-profile exit from European football.
Despite criticism over previous failures in domestic and continental competitions, including the recent AFC Champions League Two final defeat to Gamba Osaka, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner responded by leading his side to league glory.
Ronaldo’s latest brace took his tally to 127 goals for Al Nassr in all competitions and moved him closer to the historic 1,000-goal milestone in professional football.
The goals against Damac were his 972nd and 973rd career strikes, further cementing his legendary status in world football.
The title-winning season also saw Ronaldo score his 100th Saudi Pro League goal earlier this month, highlighting his continued dominance at the age of 41.
