BENIN-CITY: Edo State-born South African entrepreneur Dennis Iseghohimen has expressed confidence that the appointment of Hon. Sylvester Aigboboh as Edo State coordinator for President Bola Tinubu’s National Hope Ambassador Initiative will strengthen Tinubu’s re-election bid in the state.
Recall that the Edo State APC and Governor Monday Okpebholo had pledged to deliver 3.5 million votes for Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
In a statement, Iseghohimen described Aigboboh’s appointment as a well-deserved recognition of his dedication to grassroots mobilisation and progressive politics.
As Vice Chairman of APC in Edo State, Aigboboh has demonstrated leadership, organizational strength, and a strong connection with local communities.
This strategic appointment reflects his long-standing commitment to party unity and grassroots engagement. His influence and credibility across communities will undoubtedly bolster the President’s support base, Iseghohimen said.
The entrepreneur further noted that Aigboboh’s understanding of Edo State’s political landscape will help consolidate party structures and effectively communicate the Renewed Hope agenda of the Tinubu administration.
The appointment underscores the administration’s focus on empowering trusted leaders with strong local ties, aiming to strengthen Tinubu’s re-election campaign ahead of the 2027 polls.
