Over 30 Graves, Shrine, and Ammunition Found in Raided Anambra Hotel

AWKA: The Anambra State’s security operation, known as Operation Udo Ga-Achi or Agunechemba, has demolished Udoka Golden Point Hotel and Suites, also called “La Cruise Hotel,” located along the Onitsha-Owerri Road. Authorities confirmed that the hotel had been used as a base for kidnappers and other criminal activities.

A statement from the Anambra State New Media shared on X on Saturday revealed disturbing findings during the operation, including over 30 partitioned graves on the hotel’s top floor, a shrine, live ammunition, and other incriminating evidence. The security team also recovered bloodstained items and live cartridges, which have been handed over to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in Awkuzu.

The raid was part of a broader initiative to dismantle criminal hideouts in the state. The operation leader described the findings, noting that they uncovered a shrine, live ammunition, and cartridges, along with a pot containing blood used in rituals. The pot and other evidence have been handed to the police for further investigation.
