Real Madrid Fine Valverde, Tchouaméni €500,000 Each After Dressing Room Fight

Real Madrid have reportedly fined midfielders Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni €500,000 each following a training ground altercation that escalated into a physical confrontation.

According to reports, tensions between the two teammates had been building over a two-day period before the disagreement turned violent during training.

The incident allegedly left Valverde with a minor cut after he reportedly hit his head and briefly lost consciousness, leading to his hospitalisation.

For the first time since the controversy emerged, Real Madrid publicly addressed the matter, confirming that disciplinary measures had been taken against both players after they apologised to one another, the club and their teammates.

The Spanish giants are also believed to have convened an emergency meeting after the situation spiralled out of control inside the dressing room.

In an official statement, the club said both players appeared before an internal investigator handling the disciplinary proceedings.

According to the statement, Valverde and Tchouaméni expressed “complete remorse” for their actions and apologised to each other, the coaching staff, teammates and supporters.

The club added that both players accepted responsibility and indicated their willingness to comply with any punishment imposed by the club.

Real Madrid subsequently announced financial sanctions of €500,000 against each player, bringing the internal disciplinary process to a close.

The development comes amid reports of growing tension within the Real Madrid squad following the club’s recent UEFA Champions League elimination.
