ABUJA: Jordan Nyesom-Wike, son of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has been accused of allegedly claiming to have his father’s knowledge and approval to facilitate the allocation of 60 hectares of land in Abuja.
The allegation was contained in a petition submitted to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) by businessman Safwan Garba and his company, GY Global Oil & Gas Nigeria Limited.
In the petition dated December 11, 2025, and signed by their lawyer, Hamza Dantani, the complainants alleged that Jordan promised to facilitate the allocation of 30 hectares of land each in Katampe and Guzape, two districts in Abuja.
According to the petitioners, Jordan claimed that he routinely facilitated land allocations and had his father’s backing to secure the proposed properties.
They further alleged that $2.1 million was paid in connection with the proposed land allocations but accused Jordan of fraud, obtaining money by false pretences, criminal misappropriation and conversion of the funds.
The petitioners are seeking the EFCC’s intervention over the alleged transaction.
The allegations have not been independently established, and the petition alone does not constitute proof of criminal wrongdoing. Further details regarding the EFCC’s response, the status of any investigation and Jordan’s response to the allegations were not provided in the information available.
