NNPC Begins Computer-Based Aptitude Test for Recruitment Process

ABUJA: The aptitude test, currently underway at the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society Centenary Resource Centre in Maitama, Abuja, and various other centres across Nigeria, marks the second stage in the ongoing recruitment process initiated earlier this year by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

On July 25, 2024, NNPC announced job openings for new entrants into the organization. The recruitment aims to fill various positions across several departments within the energy company. Interested applicants were advised to visit the NNPC careers page for further details on the application process.

NNPC spokesperson Olufemi Soneye confirmed that the recruitment process is rigorous and will culminate in the selection of only the most qualified candidates for employment. In an official update shared on the company’s Facebook page, NNPC highlighted the commencement of the Computer-Based Aptitude Test, with 45,689 applicants vying for positions.

NNPC’s Group Chief Executive Officer, Mele Kyari, who visited one of the test centres, assured the public of a smooth, transparent, and fair process. He emphasized that special provisions had been made for applicants with disabilities to take the test without any barriers. The GCEO reiterated that only the best-qualified candidates would be selected from the pool of applicants.

This recruitment exercise is considered one of the most significant since NNPC’s transition to a limited liability company in 2022.
