LAGOS:The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the results for the 2025 WASSCE exams
The announcement was made on Monday, August 4, 2025, via WAEC’s verified X (formerly Twitter) account.
In the statement, WAEC said: The West African Examinations Council is pleased to inform candidates who sat for WASSCE for School Candidates, 2025 that the results have officially been released today.
Candidates are advised to check their results online through the official WAEC portal
This year’s WASSCE exams were marred by several controversies, especially during the English language paper.
Reports from various states highlighted that a significant number of students had to write their exams using torchlight or touch light due to power outages.
In many areas, students were forced to begin their exams late into the night, some writing well past midnight to complete their papers.
These difficult conditions sparked widespread concern among parents, educators, and advocacy groups who questioned the fairness and integrity of the examination process.
Despite these challenges, WAEC maintained that the exams were conducted according to established standards and assured the public of the credibility of the results.
Candidates can access their results by following these steps:

Enter your 10-digit WAEC Examination Number (7-digit centre number + 3-digit candidate number, e.g., 4123456789).
For exams taken before 1999, enter your 8-digit Examination Number (5-digit centre number + 3-digit candidate number, e.g., 19865001). -
Input the 4-digit Examination Year (e.g., 2025).

Select the Type of Examination.

Enter your e-PIN Voucher Number.

Input the Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your e-PIN voucher.

Click Submit to view your results.
