WARRI: Former Niger Delta militant leader and Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has called on Nigerians to support the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying the administration’s economic reforms are beginning to produce positive results and should be allowed to continue.
Tompolo said President Tinubu’s second term would provide the continuity needed to consolidate ongoing reforms aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s economy, improving governance and accelerating national development.
The endorsement was conveyed in a statement issued in Abuja by the Director-General of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) Door-to-Door Movement, Sunday Asuku.
According to Tompolo, the economic and structural reforms introduced by the Tinubu administration have started producing measurable gains across several sectors of the economy.
He pointed to increased foreign investment inflows, improved performance of the Nigerian capital market and enhanced fiscal autonomy for state governments as evidence that the administration’s policies are working.
He also noted improvements in the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and other macroeconomic indicators, describing them as signs that Nigeria’s economy is gradually responding positively to ongoing reforms.
The President has started so many economic reforms, the benefits of which we are beginning to see. These reforms are now delivering tangible results as shown in key economic indicators, including Gross Domestic Product and other macroeconomic indices,” Tompolo stated.
Tompolo urged Nigerians across political, ethnic and religious divides to unite behind President Tinubu’s re-election bid.
According to him, continuity in leadership is essential to ensure that the ongoing economic reforms reach their intended objectives and deliver long-term benefits to citizens.
His re-election is critical to drive these reforms to a logical conclusion and we urge all Nigerians to come together and actualise this. Let every Nigerian come together; every door in Nigeria should be knocked on. Every vote is important and door-to-door will knock on every door to ensure this, he said.
As part of efforts to intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections, Tompolo announced that the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement will inaugurate its national executive members on July 9, 2026, in Abuja.
He explained that the movement was established to deepen community engagement, promote civic participation and mobilise support for the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The inauguration is expected to attract political leaders, community representatives, stakeholders and supporters from across the country.
Tompolo described the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement as a nationwide socio-political platform designed to take the government’s message directly to ordinary Nigerians rather than relying solely on elite political endorsements.
According to him, the organisation’s objectives include:
- Mobilising grassroots support for President Tinubu’s re-election.
- Explaining government policies, economic reforms and infrastructure projects to citizens at ward and local government levels.
- Promoting voter education and encouraging eligible Nigerians to register and participate in elections.
- Strengthening democratic participation through community engagement.
He said the movement would adopt a house-to-house campaign strategy aimed at reaching voters in every community across Nigeria.
Beyond political mobilisation, Tompolo said the organisation places significant emphasis on empowering women and young people through community-based programmes.
He explained that local volunteers would drive the campaign while implementing empowerment initiatives designed to improve participation in governance and national development.
According to him, engaging women and youths remains central to achieving sustainable grassroots development and expanding public support for the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Tompolo’s endorsement adds to the growing political activities ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general elections, with support groups already intensifying mobilisation efforts in different parts of the country.
The launch of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement’s national executive signals the beginning of an extensive grassroots campaign designed to build nationwide support for President Tinubu’s second-term ambition.
Supporters of the initiative argue that sustaining the administration’s economic reforms through continuity in leadership will strengthen investor confidence, improve economic stability and advance Nigeria’s long-term development objectives.
The movement says it will continue engaging communities across the country to promote civic participation while encouraging Nigerians to support policies aimed at driving economic growth and national progress.
