SA-Based Nigerian Mother Confronts South African Man Over Alleged Attempt to Drag Her 10-Year-Old Daughter Into Apartment

A Nigerian mother living in South Africa has confronted her neighbour after he allegedly attempted to drag her 10-year-old daughter into his apartment, in a disturbing incident that has sparked outrage online.

According to reports and a video shared on social media, the mother identified as Asa Obi South confronted the young man after her daughter accused him of persistent harassment.

During the confrontation, the girl reportedly stated that the man had not been approaching her for the first time, raising further concerns about repeated incidents.

The situation escalated when the man allegedly refused to apologize and instead made inflammatory remarks referencing nationality. He was quoted as saying, you are a Nigerian, I am a South African, I have the right to do anything here.

He also gave conflicting accounts of his age, first claiming to be 23 before later stating he was 28.

In a shocking admission captured in the video, the man allegedly said he was attracted to the minor, describing her in inappropriate terms and claiming she was beautiful and had physical features he liked.

He further insisted that the child was old enough to speak for herself and asked the mother to leave his premises, describing her concerns as nonsense.

The mother, however, issued a stern warning, stating that she would escalate the matter to law enforcement authorities if the alleged harassment continued.

She also vowed to ensure her daughter’s safety and protection, insisting that the incident would not be ignored.

The video has since sparked widespread outrage on social media, with many users calling for immediate police intervention and stronger protection for the child involved.

Authorities in South Africa have not yet issued an official statement on the incident as of the time of filing this report.
