PORT HARCOURT: The Rivers State Police Command has arrested a 43-year-old woman, identified as Gift, for allegedly biting off the tip of her lover’s penis during a domestic altercation.
The incident reportedly occurred on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Bishop Okoye Street in the Mile 3 area of Diobu, Port Harcourt.
According to eyewitness accounts, the dispute began when Gift’s partner, identified only as Sunday, requested sex. Gift is said to have refused, accusing him of using sex enhancement drugs that made their encounters uncomfortably prolonged.
Mr. Sunday became enraged and allegedly attacked his partner for refusing him, a resident told reporters under the condition of anonymity. During the altercation, Gift grabbed his manhood with her mouth and bit off the tip.
Sunday’s screams reportedly attracted neighbors, some of whom attempted to assault the woman before police officers from the Nkpolu Police Division, led by the Divisional Police Officer, intervened and rescued her.
The victim was rushed to an undisclosed hospital for emergency medical treatment, while Gift was taken into custody.
The Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the incident on Friday.
