ABUJA: The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the promotion of 20 Commissioners of Police (CPs), 19 Deputy Commissioners (DCPs), 13 Superintendents (SPs), and 14 Deputy Superintendents (DSPs) across various commands.
This was disclosed in a statement on Monday in Abuja by the PSC’s Head of Press and Public Relations, Mr. Ikechukwu Ani.
According to Ani, the CPs have been elevated to Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG), DCPs to CP, SPs to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), and DSPs to SP.

Morealso; 13 SPs and 14 DSPs were also promoted following an examination and an interactive interview before the Commission.
The promotion exercise was presided over by the Chairman of the Commission, Mr. Hashimu Argungu, with support from other commission members.
The PSC emphasized that all promoted officers were evaluated based on their performance, experience, and dedication to service.
