LAGOS: The management of Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Pascal Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, has expressed appreciation to singer Zlatan Ibile and other industry figures for their support as the entertainer continues to deal with an ongoing legal case in the United Kingdom.
Poco Lee’s management made the disclosure in a statement issued on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, while also appealing to the public to avoid spreading unverified information about the case.
According to the management, Zlatan has been among those who have provided support behind the scenes since the legal matter began.
The team did not reveal the specific assistance provided by the singer but said his involvement, alongside that of others, had been important.
We would like to publicly acknowledge that Zlatan, along with others, has been extremely supportive and helpful through this matter,” the statement said.
The management added that the support and efforts of those involved had been “vital to moving things forward” and expressed appreciation for their continued commitment.
The team also appealed to members of the public to refrain from spreading what it described as negative narratives surrounding the case.
Zlatan’s name was added to the list of entertainers publicly acknowledged for supporting Poco Lee after the dancer previously mentioned Burna Boy and Rahman Jago while discussing his experience in the UK.
Poco Lee had expressed gratitude to the two entertainers for standing by him during the difficult period.
His management has now confirmed that Zlatan was also among those who offered support, although details of his involvement have not been made public.
Poco Lee’s legal troubles came to public attention in August 2026 after reports that he had been detained in the UK over allegations of sexual offences.
He was subsequently charged with five offences: two counts of rape, one count of attempted rape and two counts of assault by penetration.
Poco Lee was later granted bail after spending several weeks in custody.
His management has repeatedly stressed that the allegations should not be treated as established facts and has urged the public to allow the British legal system to determine the matter.
The entertainer’s team has also cautioned against circulating claims that are not part of the charges before the court.
In particular, the management previously addressed reports concerning alleged drink spiking, saying such claims did not form part of the charges facing Poco Lee.
There were also reports that the complainant had withdrawn the case. However, subsequent reports indicated that the legal proceedings remained active.
Poco Lee’s next plea hearing is scheduled for February 8, 2027, while his trial is expected to commence on March 8, 2027.
With the case still before the UK courts, Poco Lee’s management has continued to appeal for restraint from the public and urged people to allow the judicial process to run its course.
For now, the dancer remains on bail as he awaits his next court appearance, while supporters and colleagues, including Zlatan and others, continue to rally around him.
