LAGOS: The Academy of Gospel Music in Nigeria has officially announced Sunday, 9 August 2026, as the date for the 5th Nigeria International Gospel Music Awards (NIGMA). The prestigious event according to them will hold at the Agip Recital Hall, MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos, bringing together key stakeholders to celebrate excellence and impact in Nigeria’s gospel music industry and outstanding feats worldwide.
Widely regarded as one of the nation’s foremost gospel music award platforms, NIGMA 2026 will honour outstanding achievements while championing a landmark National Mental Health Awareness Campaign, using the influence of gospel music to promote hope, emotional well-being, resilience, and meaningful conversations around mental health.
Speaking on the vision behind the awards, Kingsley Omoefe, Founder and Team Lead of NIGMA, said:
