Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District, Ned Nwoko, has launched a free JAMB UTME registration initiative aimed at supporting 1,500 qualified students across the district, as part of efforts to reduce financial barriers to higher education.
The lawmaker announced the programme via his official social media platform as the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration commenced nationwide.
According to him, the initiative is driven by his conviction that education remains a critical foundation for sustainable development.
Nwoko stated that no capable student should be denied access to tertiary education due to financial constraints, stressing that the programme reflects his ongoing commitment to youth empowerment and academic advancement in Delta North.
Beneficiaries will be drawn from the nine local government areas in the senatorial district, including Aniocha North, Aniocha South, Ika Northeast, Ika South, Ndokwa East, Ndokwa West, Oshimili North, Oshimili South, and Ukwuani.
To qualify, applicants must be at least 16 years old by 30 September 2026 and must generate their JAMB profile code using their National Identification Number (NIN).
Required submission details include the candidate’s full name, JAMB profile code, and council ward for documentation and verification purposes.
The registration deadline for the programme has been set for 15 February 2026. Organizers say the initiative is intended to expand educational access, promote academic opportunity, and support the long-term social and economic development of the Delta North region.
