How APC House of Representatives candidates emerged in Delta primaries

ASABA: Candidates for the All-Progressives Congress House of Representatives tickets have emerged across Delta State following the party’s primary elections held in various federal constituencies on Saturday.

The primaries recorded a mix of direct voting, consensus arrangements and the Option A4 system, with party officials describing the exercise as largely peaceful across the state.

In the Okpe/Sapele/Uvwie Federal Constituency, Hon. Ramson Onoyake secured the party’s ticket after the collation of results.

Party agents and stakeholders commended the conduct of the exercise, praising the leadership for what they described as a transparent and credible process.

In Ndokwa/Ukwuani, Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi emerged as the APC candidate, while in Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, Ndudi Elumelu was declared winner after collation of results at the Oshimili South secretariat.

Chairman of the National Assembly Primaries Committee in Delta, Eugene Odo, said the exercise was orderly across the areas visited. According to him, the adoption of direct primaries gave party members the opportunity to participate from the ward level up to constituency collation centres.

Other winners announced include Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu for Ethiope Federal Constituency, Hon. Ejiro Waive for Ughelli North/Ughelli South/Udu, Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko for Isoko, Mr. Emmanuel Osazuwa for Ika, and Hon. Julius Pondi for Burutu Federal Constituency.

The primaries in Bomadi/Patani, Warri and other constituencies also witnessed significant turnout, with party members and leaders expressing satisfaction with the process.

Sheriff Oborevwori, who voted in his ward in Okpe Local Government Area, described the peaceful conduct of the exercise as evidence of the party’s unity and preparedness for the 2027 general elections.

He said the large turnout of members reflected growing acceptance of the APC across the state.

Also speaking after casting his vote in Ndokwa West, Deputy Governor Monday Onyeme endorsed the Option A4 voting method, saying it remains the most transparent system for internal party elections in the country.
