Hon. Sabastine Okoh began his educational journey at Army Children School, Ibadan, Oyo State, where he spent his formative years. His family later relocated to Benin City, Edo State, where he continued his secondary education at Benin Technical College. Okoh’s academic path took another turn when he moved to his hometown, Umunede, where he completed his secondary education at Ede Grammar School, Umunede, earning his Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE).

After completing his secondary education, Hon. Okoh pursued higher education in banking and finance, obtaining his first degree from Ekiti State University. Driven by a desire to broaden his knowledge and improve his leadership skills, he went on to earn a master’s degree in public administration (MPA) from the University of Benin, Benin City.

Hon. Okoh’s political journey began in 2006/2007 when he became actively involved in the politics of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). His early years in politics saw him working tirelessly to help the PDP win elections at various levels within Ika North-East and Ika South local government areas. In 2015, Hon. Okoh made the bold decision to switch political parties, moving from the PDP to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Through the efforts of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Hon. Okoh was instrumental in lighting up major streets and roads in Umunede, such as Hospital Road, Ileje, Old Agbor Road, Mbiri Road, Ogwashi-Uku Road, Ekwuoma Road, Palace Road, and Akumazi Umuocha Road. These projects have enhanced the aesthetic appeal of the community while improving security and mobility for residents.
