Nigeria’s dominance in global music has received another major boost as four Nigerian superstars—Burna Boy, Davido, Rema, and Ayra Starr—earned spots on the official 18-track album for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
According to FIFA’s official track list, the tournament’s flagship anthem, Dai Dai, is performed by Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Burna Boy alongside Colombian music icon Shakira. The song has been designated as the official anthem of the 2026 World Cup and also supports the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.
Other Nigerian stars also feature prominently on the project. Rema contributes the track Goals, Davido appears with No Place Like Home, while Ayra Starr lends her voice to Show Me.
The album, unveiled ahead of the tournament to be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, highlights the growing global appeal of Nigerian music and Afrobeats. Nigeria ranks as the third most represented country on the project, behind only the United States and Mexico.
The United States boasts eight artists on the album, including Future, 21 Savage, Latto, Fridayy, Angel, BIA, Jelly Roll and IShowSpeed. Mexico follows with five representatives, among them Los Ángeles Azules, Belinda, Natanael Cano, Alejandro Fernández and Carín León.
In total, the 18-track album features 38 artist credits from different parts of the world, reflecting FIFA’s commitment to diversity and cultural exchange through music.
The strong Nigerian presence on the World Cup soundtrack underscores the remarkable rise of Afrobeats over the past decade. What began as a regional sound has evolved into a global phenomenon embraced by audiences across Europe, North America, Asia and Latin America.
Industry experts view FIFA’s decision to prominently feature Nigerian artists as recognition of the commercial success and cultural influence that Afrobeats now commands. Nigerian musicians have consistently topped international charts, collaborated with world-renowned stars and soldout major venues around the globe.
Collaborations like Burna Boy and Shakira’s Dai Dai, along with Rema’s contribution to Goals, embody the spirit of unity and diversity that the FIFA World Cup seeks to celebrate.
As excitement builds for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Nigerian artists continue to showcase the country’s creative strength on one of the world’s biggest stages.
Their inclusion on the official album not only celebrates the achievements of Afrobeats but also reinforces Nigeria’s growing influence in global entertainment and culture.
For football enthusiasts and music lovers alike, the FIFA World Cup 2026 album offers more than just a collection of songs—it serves as a testament to how Nigerian talent continues to shape conversations and captivate audiences worldwide.
