The Commissioner of Police, Bayelsa State Command, CP Ajao Saka Adewale, on October, 2nd 2026, paid a condolence visit to the Chief Judge of Bayelsa State, Hon. Justice Matilda Abrakasa Ayemieye, following the death of her beloved husband, Elder Freeman Ayemieye, on 1st October, 2026.
Speaking on behalf of the officers and men of the Command, the Commissioner expressed heartfelt sympathy to Her Lordship and the Ayemieye family. He described the loss of a life partner as deeply painful and assured the family of the Command’s thoughts and prayers.
CP Ajao also acknowledged the Chief Judge’s warm and constructive working relationship with the Police Command. He commended her commitment to the administration of justice and the cooperation between the judiciary and the Police, which has helped both institutions serve the people of Bayelsa State.
The Commissioner of Police prayed that God grants Elder Freeman Ayemieye peaceful repose and gives Her Lordship and the entire family strength and comfort at this difficult time.
