LONDON: Afrobeats icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, and his wife, Natasha Osawaru, became the center of online conversation on Monday after an unexpected off-camera confrontation during an Instagram Live session hosted by media personality Daddy Freeze.
The livestream featured two of 2Baba’s former management associates, Kaka Igbokwe and Lori Tosan, who accused Natasha of having an overwhelming influence over the singer’s personal and professional life. They went further to reference past incidents, including an alleged domestic dispute in the U.K.
Midway into the discussion, 2Baba abruptly joined the live broadcast, firmly instructing both men to stop speaking about his private matters.
Shortly after, raised voices believed to be the couple were heard in the background, prompting Daddy Freeze to end the session abruptly.

Public interest in the couple has remained high since 2Baba confirmed his separation from actress Annie Idibia earlier this year, later proposing to Natasha in February before the pair married in July.
This latest incident comes after earlier claims that the singer was briefly detained in the U.K. during an October tour following an alleged disagreement with Natasha.
Although 2Baba denied the report saying he missed a show due to health issues the allegations have resurfaced following the controversial livestream.
