RIVERS STATE: Tension continues to soar in Rivers state as citizens woke up on Saturday to the news of a suspected explosion that rocked the secretariat of the All Progressives Congress, APC, headed by the factional caretaker committee chairman, CTC, Chief Tony Okocha
Explosions suspected to be dynamite destroyed the All Progressives Congress secretariat along Aba Road in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State, early on Saturday morning, shattering buildings and other property.
The blast wrecked windows, doors, and other items of property in addition to bringing down the secretariat’s gate.
This year, the Chief Tony Okocha-led APC has been victim of similar attacks at its secretariat twice.

The Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission confirmed on Friday that all sensitive materials have been handed to the various local government areas. This comes just before the state’s local government elections, which are scheduled to take place today.

There were reports (not rapidospace) that says several personnel were seen at the facility wandering around to assess the degree of damage in a viral video from the location of the tragedy.
When reached, Grace Iringe-Koko, a spokesperson for the state police command, stated she had not yet received a report on the matter but that she would follow up.
The party has not yet comment on the incidence.
