He was expected to sign seven-year agreements with the opportunity to extend them by a year more at Stamford Bridge.

Conor Gallagher and Samu Omorodion have been the subject of weeks of negotiations between Atletico Madrid and Chelsea; nevertheless, Gallagher’s future has also been called into question after a deal for Omorodion fell through.

According to reports, Gallagher has already signed his contract at Atletico to finalize his €40 million transfer to the Metropolitano and is already working out with his new teammates. After traveling to London on Sunday in order to finalize a €40 million transfer to Chelsea, Samu Omorodion’s deal fell through.

Gallagher has reportedly already signed his deal at Atletico to complete a €40m move to the Metropolitano, and is already training with his new teammates. On Sunday, Samu Omorodion flew to London to complete a €40m move to Chelsea, but the deal has collapsed.

It could well come down to whether Atletico need the money for Omorodion. If that is the case, Leverkusen may well be able to come closer to the terms Chelsea were offering, although Bournemouth may well have the money to consider a large transfer too.

Villarreal and Betis seem much more likely as loan destinations, albeit the Yellow Submarine have brought in around €35m for Alexander Sorloth, and are in need of a striker.
