ToluwaniSings’ Father, Wife Disagree Over Burial Plans as Dad Insists on Home Burial

By RapidoSpace News

The father of late gospel musician Toluwani Sings, Muniru Adekunle Olayemi, has appealed to his son’s wife to allow him to be buried at home or in the family compound, amid a reported disagreement over the singer’s burial arrangements.

Toluwani Sings died on October 14, 2026, with the circumstances surrounding his burial now reportedly creating tension between his grieving father and his wife.

Speaking in a recent interview, Olayemi said he approached his son’s wife after learning of the musician’s death online and appealed to her to permit a home burial.

According to him, his preference is for his son to be laid to rest in his house rather than in a church or cemetery. He reportedly said his son’s wife rejected the proposal and insisted on a cemetery burial.

The grieving father explained that having his son buried at home would bring him comfort, adding that prayers could be organised at the residence without the need to bury the musician in a church or cemetery.

I don’t want him buried in a church or cemetery. I want him buried in his house and that will make me happy, Olayemi said.

He also recounted aspects of his son’s early life, revealing that Toluwani went to live with his maternal family following the death of his mother in 1992, just a few months after his birth.

The reported disagreement has brought attention to the sensitive decisions families face when making burial arrangements for a deceased loved one, particularly when close relatives have different wishes about where the person should be laid to rest.

While Olayemi has publicly expressed his desire for a home burial, his son’s wife is reportedly favouring a cemetery burial. The details of any discussions between both parties, including whether a final decision has been reached, remain unclear.

As the family mourns the loss of the gospel musician, further clarification from the parties involved may be needed to establish how the disagreement will be resolved.

RapidoSpace News will continue to follow developments surrounding Toluwani Sings’ burial arrangements as more information becomes available.
