The Voice Magazine, Dutch Embassy host The First Voice Achievers Awards in Nigeria by ISAAC DANIEL

LAGOS: The Voice News Magazine in Netherlands, and the Dutch Embassy has cemented a concrete partnership to host the history making and laudable globally acclimed award, known as The Voice Achievers Awards in Nigeria for the very first time.

The organizers of highly esteemed award which has been held in different countries of the world, revealed that the award is not only here to celebrate people’s feats, but, its making her remarkable debut in Nigeria with a noble vision to rebrand the country totally from all forms of negativity, to empowering the people, exposing them to global business opportunities and life transforming information and untapped ventures globally.

Speaking press conference in Lagos, the publisher of the the Voice African news magazine and convener of The Voice Achievers Award”, Pastor Ambassador Elvis Iruh, stated that the Nigeria debut 14th edition of successfully hosting the award globally since its inception in the Netherlands in 1999.

I felt it was time to come, said the Delta State born celebrated journalist, publisher and international diplomat.

I know the challenges at home, but I felt we should still celebrate our hard work and legacy and look beyond the problems in order to keep hope alive.

A people without hope is dead. We should continue to play our part to keep hope alive, he stressed.

Ambassador Iruh, disclosed that epoch making event which they are organizing in collaboration with the Nigerian Dutch Embassy and diaspora partners.

He added that the event which is targeted in positively rebranding the negative the global news commenced with about Nigeria will be commenced with a global Business Summit, scheduled for November 28, 2025, at the prestigious Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos.

It is a gathering where knowledge, networking and the understanding of how best to have mutual trust for the benefits of Africa and Europe would be discussed.

We would be looking at the various misconceptions, and mostly wrong or misinformed notions about Africa and Europe using Nigeria and the Netherlands as a case study”, he explained.

He hinted a high-powered global guest speakers led by Mr. Michel Deelen, Consular General of Nigerian Dutch Embassy; Cissy Nulamansia, a Ugandan budding film maker, himself ; Dr Kenneth Ghandi, CEO, Africa-German Information Center, Germany and others are lined up to do justice to the theme of the event: Debunking Notions and Reshaping Mindset. Ambassador Iruh, informed that His Excellently, Dr. Eniola Ajayi, former Nigeria’s Ambassador to the Netherlands, will deliver the keynote address titled:S haping Continental Business between Africa and Europe”
