Gambian-born Nollywood actress Rosy Meurer has pushed back against renewed speculation about trouble in her marriage to Olakunle Churchill, insisting recent social media claims about their relationship are misleading.
The actress had earlier reacted strongly to online criticism, stressing that she would never remain in an unhappy marriage simply to please public opinion. She said while she values love and family, she would not hesitate to walk away if circumstances ever made her uncomfortable.
In a recent interview with media personality Daddy Freeze, Meurer clarified rumours that she unfollowed her husband on Instagram.
According to her, she only became aware of the claim through social media chatter and described it as untrue. She maintained that there was no deliberate move to distance herself from her husband online.
The actress also addressed speculation linking her closely with Tonto Dikeh, stating they were never friends.
She explained that their only encounter happened briefly at a birthday event hosted by a friend of her husband and that there was no formal introduction or personal relationship beyond that moment.
Meurer said persistent trolling and allegations about her marriage compelled her to speak publicly. She rejected claims that she snatched someone else’s partner or previously worked as a personal assistant, describing such narratives as false and hurtful.
She emphasised that she has largely stayed quiet out of respect for herself and her family but felt the need to correct misinformation circulating online.
