Oborevwori Receives Governing Board of Federal University of Medical and Health Sciences, Kwale

ASABA:  Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, yesterday received the Governing Board and Management team of the newly established Federal University of Medical and Health Sciences, Kwale, at Government House, Asaba. The delegation was led by the Chairman and Pro-Chancellor, Dr. Salisu Banye.

Governor Oborevwori described the establishment of the institution as a milestone achievement in the state’s pursuit of excellence in education.

He urged the pioneer Chairman and his team to steer the university with vision, bold ideas, and unwavering commitment, stressing that Delta, already an education hub, stands to benefit immensely from the success of the university.

Expressing satisfaction with the progress of work at the site, the Governor reaffirmed his administration’s determination to support the university during its formative years.

As part of this commitment, he announced the donation of a brand-new 30-seater bus to the institution to ease transportation for staff and students.

The Governor noted that the university’s growth will not only enhance access to medical and health sciences education but also strengthen healthcare delivery in the state and beyond.

He further commended the Federal Government for establishing the institution in Kwale, describing it as a strategic investment in human capital development.

Governor Oborevwori assured the Governing Board of his administration’s continuous partnership, emphasizing that the university would play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare professionals in Nigeria.
