This situation often forces immigrants to take on low-skilled jobs such as waiting tables, taking shifts in superstores, or even providing personal care services to individuals with special needs, just to make ends meet and cover their bills.
She highlights that despite possessing professional qualifications from Nigeria, many find themselves unable to secure jobs in their respective fields in Canada due to the perceived lack of Canadian work
