KAMPALA: Former President of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, has expressed appreciation for the warm reception accorded him by the Government of the Republic of Uganda, the Vice Chancellor of Cavendish University Uganda (CUU), Dr. Olive Sabiiti, members of staff, and officials of the Nigerian High Commission, as he arrived in Kampala on Wednesday morning.
Jonathan, who serves as the Chancellor of CUU, is in the Ugandan capital for the university’s 14th graduation ceremony scheduled for Thursday, August 21, 2025.
Speaking on his arrival, the former President commended the remarkable progress and innovations of Cavendish University Uganda, noting that the institution has continued to distinguish itself as a leading private university in the country.
He expressed satisfaction with Cavendish University Uganda steady growth, its contributions to quality education, and its role in grooming the next generation of leaders.
The 14th graduation ceremony is expected to attract dignitaries from across Africa, academics, students, parents, and friends of the university.
