Ila Orangun, Osun State: In a vibrant ceremony marked by joy and strong community support, the Osun State Government today flagged off the dualization of the Ila Township Road. Governor Ademola Adeleke, joined by his Deputy, the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, and top government officials, led the symbolic launch of the vital road project.
The event drew hundreds of enthusiastic residents, who warmly received the Governor and his entourage. Addressing the crowd, the Governor described the moment as a reaffirmation of the sacred bond between the government and the people of Osun State.
“The overwhelming support we witnessed today in Ila Orangun reminds me of the sacred trust I hold a bond with the people of Osun that remains unbreakable,” he said.
The Governor revealed that the Ila Township Road dualization is a 3.5-kilometer project set to be completed within 10 months.
He described the project as a strategic investment in local infrastructure aimed at easing traffic, improving safety, and fostering economic growth in the region.
He also provided an update on several key infrastructure projects nearing completion across the state.
These include the dualization of Ilesa Road (78% complete), the Oke-Fia Flyover (95%), Ile-Ife Flyover (75%), LAMECO Flyover (55%), and the Oke Gada Bridge, which has been fully completed.
In addition, the administration has overseen the construction and rehabilitation of over 200 kilometers of roads and is finalizing 1.5 km road projects across all Local Government Areas in the state.
