MILIAN: Legendary Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani, who died at the age of 91, will be laid to rest today, Monday, in a private family ceremony in the medieval village of Rivalta, south of Milan, where his mother is also buried.
Over the weekend, thousands of mourners paid their respects as Armani’s coffin lay in state near the headquarters of his multi-billion-euro fashion empire in Milan.
Carabinieri officers and Armani’s security team stood guard at the Armani Theatre, where tributes poured in from across the world.

Security has been tightened to ensure privacy around the funeral, which is scheduled for mid-afternoon, according to local officials and the regional castles association.
