Fitness Coach, 30, Dies After Extreme Binge-Eating Challenge for Weight-Loss Program Promotion

ORENBURG: A 30-year-old Russian fitness coach and influencer has tragically died after attempting an extreme binge-eating challenge meant to promote his upcoming weight-loss program.

Dmitry Nuyanzin, from Orenburg, reportedly set out to gain more than 50 pounds rapidly so he could publicly shed the weight and shock followers with a dramatic transformation.

As part of the challenge, he consumed up to 10,000 calories every day for weeks.

According to reports, Nuyanzin began feeling unwell, cancelled his training sessions, and told friends he planned to see a doctor. Sadly, he died in his sleep from cardiac arrest.

Before his death, he had already gained nearly 30 pounds within a month. He regularly posted updates online; promising followers cash rewards if they could lose 10 per cent of their body weight before the New Year.

His daily meals were extremely heavy: cakes, pastries, fast food, constant snacking, and almost two pounds of dumplings with mayonnaise. His final update on November 18 showed his weight had crossed 230 pounds.

Tributes have poured in from friends, fans, and colleagues describing him as a dedicated, vibrant personality whose life was cut short too soon.

Medical experts have since reiterated the dangers of sudden weight gain, warning that rapid calorie overload forces the heart to work far harder than normal—a strain that can trigger fatal complications.
