Drama as Two Women Expose Married Man Who Allegedly Dated 15 Lovers, Claimed His Wife Was Dead

HARARE: A dramatic confrontation has erupted in Zimbabwe after two women discovered they were both romantically involved with the same married man who allegedly has as many as 15 girlfriends and falsely told them his wife had died.

The man at the center of the scandal, Nobert Chifeya, is said to have deceived several women by claiming to be a widower, only for his wife, Ellen Mutasa, to still be alive.

Two of his alleged partners, Police Officer Fortunate Tibu and Chiedza Janet Tariro Munyoro, joined forces to expose him after learning about his web of affairs.

According to reports by H-Metro, Chifeya had previously made headlines for dating nine women simultaneously, but new revelations suggest the number may have grown to 15. Several of the women claim they were emotionally deceived and financially exploited in the process.

When confronted, Nobert admitted that he is married but insisted that his relationship with Fortunate was genuine.

I am a married man, but I fell in love with Fortunate. We opened a clinic together and worked closely before it was closed, he said.

The equipment was supplied by both Fortunate and Chiedza. When they discovered my other lovers, they united against me.

He also accused Fortunate of leveraging her position as a police officer to intimidate him, alleging that she and her associates made threats against him.

Fortunate dragged me to the police several times, taking advantage of her position as an Assistant Inspector. She even brought a relative who claimed to be a Central Intelligence Officer, but he turned out to be a security guard, Nobert said.

Fortunate, who serves at the Chitungwiza Police Camp Clinic, recounted how she met Nobert while planning to open a maternity facility, Mbuya Nyarai Clinic, in Budiriro 5B. Nobert offered to assist her in acquiring medical equipment a move that reportedly led to financial loss and heartbreak.

I wanted to start my own clinic, and Nobert promised to help. I took loans, sold my car, and invested everything. Only after I had bought almost all the equipment did I find out he lied about his wife’s death, she said.

Chiedza, who was also involved in the clinic project, told journalists that Nobert used manipulation to gain her trust and money.

Nobert is not clever he preys on women to exploit them. I lost a lot before realizing I was just one of many victims, she said.

Both women have since filed legal complaints against Nobert, accusing him of fraud and emotional abuse.

The story has sparked widespread outrage on social media, with many users’ expressing disbelief over the scale of Nobert’s deception and the number of women allegedly involved.
