Delta Governor Appoints Ika Political Powerhouse, Sebastine Okoh, as MD of DESSAA

ASABA: The Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has appointed renowned advertising expert, grassroots political mobiliser, and business mogul, Hon. Sebastine Okoh, popularly known as Saba Na Bab, as the Managing Director of the Delta State Signage and Advertisement Agency Asaba Delta State(DESSAA),

The appointment has been widely welcomed by stakeholders in the advertising industry, political leaders, and community groups across Delta North and beyond, who describe it as a strategic decision anchored on competence, experience, and grassroots credibility.

Observers say the appointment represents a round peg in a round hole, given Okoh’s over 18 years of hands-on experience in advertising, marketing communications, outdoor media regulation, and brand management.

As Managing Director, Saba Na Bab is expected to bring private-sector efficiency, innovation, and global best practices to DESSAA.

Industry analysts believe his leadership will strengthen regulatory compliance, eliminate revenue leakages, modernise signage control, improve the aesthetic outlook of Delta’s urban centres, and significantly boost the agency’s revenue-generating capacity.

Okoh will introduce transparent licensing systems, digital monitoring of outdoor advertisements, structured engagement with advertisers, and a more investor-friendly regulatory framework measures aimed at repositioning DESSAA as a professional, growth-oriented institution.
