ASABA: The Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Delta State Governor, Mr. Ossai Ovie Success, has alleged that regional bias played a role in the outcome of the recently concluded Big Brother Naija Season 10, claiming that Dede, the first runner-up, was unfairly denied victory.
Shortly after the winner, Imisi, was announced on Sunday night, Ossai took to his official X (formerly Twitter) account to express dissatisfaction with the result, insisting that Dede was the rightful winner.
Dede was robbed by the BBNaija organizers because a Delta boy, Kellyrae, won last year’s season. They didn’t want another Delta contestant to win again this year, he wrote.
“She truly deserved the Big Brother Naija crown, not the second position. Dede made everyone who watched the show proud.
The media aide further revealed plans to take legal action, alleging that the voting process was manipulated to favour another contestant.
I’ll be suing Big Brother Naija on behalf of Dede because the voting was rigged. I’m highly disappointed in this season’s outcome, Ossai added.
His comments have sparked heated debates among fans on social media, with many divided over the credibility of the show’s voting system and the fairness of the result.
Dede, who hails from Delta State, emerged as the first runner-up, while Imisi was crowned winner of the ₦150 million grand prize.
Meanwhile, supporters of both housemates continue to trade words online, with some defending Imisi’s victory as well-deserved, while others echo Ossai’s claims of regional bias.
As of press time, the organisers of Big Brother Naija were yet to respond to the allegations.
