Social media comedian Carter Efe emerged victorious over street-hop artiste Portable in a high-profile celebrity boxing match held in Lagos.
The bout, part of the Chaos in the Ring 4 event at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, ended in a unanimous decision, with all three judges scoring the contest 30–27 in favour of Efe.
Portable entered the ring full of confidence, aiming to secure a third belt after earlier victories over Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington. Known for his energetic and unpredictable style, he started aggressively, throwing wide punches in the opening round.
However, Carter Efe quickly adapted, using his height and reach advantage to control the fight. He absorbed the early pressure and responded with well-timed counterattacks, including sharp uppercuts and body shots that unsettled Portable.
By the second round, Efe had found his rhythm, landing cleaner combinations while Portable continued to rely on wild swings and frequent clinches. The third round followed a similar pattern, with Efe maintaining composure and precision until the final bell.
The judges’ unanimous scorecards confirmed Efe as the new celebrity boxing champion, ending Portable’s unbeaten run in the entertainment boxing scene.
Before the match, both entertainers had traded bold predictions, with Portable promising dominance and Efe confidently forecasting a knockout. While the knockout did not materialise, Efe’s technical superiority across all three rounds proved decisive.
The result further cements the growing popularity of celebrity boxing in Nigeria, where entertainers are increasingly stepping into the ring to settle rivalries and entertain fans beyond music and comedy
