Carnival’s Celebration Key Ushers in the Holidays With Festive Debut

Celebration Key, Carnival Cruise Line’s newly launched exclusive destination on the southern coast of Grand Bahama Island, is welcoming guests into the holiday season with its first-ever festive display since opening earlier this year.

For the inaugural holiday celebration, each of the destination’s five themed portals has been transformed with seasonal décor, including Christmas trees, wreaths and garlands, each designed around a unique theme.

Among the standout attractions are towering gift box installations at Paradise Plaza and a 20-foot Celebration Key–themed Christmas tree in Lokono Cove.

Guests can also enjoy holiday-inspired sand sculptures across the destination, including an eight-foot-tall sand Christmas tree in Santa’s Village at Starfish Lagoon.

Carnival says Santa Claus will make special appearances throughout the season, offering families the chance to capture festive photos in a tropical setting.

Adding to the cheer, the colourful Junkanoo parade has received a holiday makeover, with performers donning seasonal costumes to reflect the spirit of the season while maintaining the cultural vibrancy of the celebration.

The festive experience is not limited to the destination alone. Carnival noted that guests sailing to Celebration Key during the holiday period will also enjoy seasonal activities, themed entertainment and specially curated holiday menus on board, blending traditional celebrations with the cruise line’s signature fun.

Since its opening, Celebration Key has become a popular Caribbean stop for travellers, thanks to its mile-long white sand beach and the largest freshwater lagoons in the region.

Carnival says the combination of tropical scenery and holiday traditions is set to make this first festive season at Celebration Key a memorable one for guests across its fleet.
