APC Ward 7 Suspends Delta Commissioner Charles Aniagwu Over Alleged Anti-Party Activities

AKUMAZI-UMUOCHA: The All-Progressives Congress (APC) Ward 7 in Akumazi-Umuocha has announced the suspension of Delta State Commissioner for Works, Rural Roads and Public Information, Hon. Charles Aniagwu, over alleged anti-party activities.

In a letter dated February 11, 2026, and signed by the ward chairman Mr. Chukwuka Ojinjin following an emergency meeting, the ward executive said the decision to suspend the commissioner was unanimous, pending the outcome of further investigations.

According to the ward leadership, the suspension was based on several allegations, including alleged engagement in anti-party activities contrary to the party’s constitution and principles.

Other claims cited include taking unilateral decisions without the knowledge or approval of the ward executive, endorsement of what was described as an illegal excos list, and actions allegedly undermining party leadership and decisions.

The letter further outlined conditions accompanying the suspension. Hon. Aniagwu was directed to cease all party activities with immediate effect, refrain from using APC symbols, logos or platforms, and abstain from participating in any APC meetings or events until investigations are concluded.

Party officials at the ward level indicated that further steps would depend on the outcome of the investigative process.
