APC begin moves to de-marginalise Igbos – Ganduje

Abuja– The national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC and former past Governor of Kano State ,  Adbdullahi Ganduje, has said in his statement on Sunday that the party has initiated moves to de-marginalize  the Igbos to place them in the limelight of national politics.
Mr Ganduje made the statement on Sunday during the APC South East zonal meeting in Abakaliki, noting that Igbos had shown massive support to the All Progressive party (APC) and the President Bola Tinubu led administration presently.
The APC national chairman said that though a line must be drawn between marginalization and low performance of the south east in the APC, the party had decided to break the vicious cycle of marginalization.
“ He said  the present appointments offered the zone by President Bola Tinubu’s administration is heartwarming and with more involvement in the party’s affairs, more would be achieved.

The Kano former Governor declared, “We must end this cycle of marginalization with tenacity, unity, and complete support to the party and President Bola Tinubu led administration.”

He congratulated Governor Francis Nwifuru for upholding the party’s principles in the state and pointed out that Ebonyi state had followed Imo’s lead in aggressively pushing the party’s activities.

“We currently face the challenge of claiming Anambra, Enugu, and Abia, and in order to accomplish this, we must unite all relevant parties.”

The governor of Ebonyi, Francis Nwifuru, praised the leaders of the party for holding the meeting in the state, pointing out that the party now has its roots in the state and the southeast.

Mr Nwifuru noted that Ebonyi had a policy of inclusiveness which had made all stakeholders in the state to be presently under the APC roof.
“The massive defection of opposition stakeholders to APC on July 13  attests to the fact that persuasion works more than bickering and fighting,” he said.

According to the Imo state Governor and  the South East Governors Forum chairman, a good number of the populace  are suffering untold hardship and hunger with some even falling into poverty.

“People need to be aware that there is a global financial crisis and that certain currencies are worth between 15,000 and 20,000 to one dollar.

” Though Nigerians will receive the much-needed assistance if the tried-and-true policies of President Bola Tinubu’s administration are well implemented,” he stated.
