LAGOS: Super Eagles stars Victor Osimhen, captain Wilfred Ndidi and defender Chidozie Awaziem were spotted at a Lagos nightclub on Sunday, just hours after Nigeria secured third place at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The players were seen in a video shared on social media by popular Lagos socialite Babatunde Akinpelu, also known as Tunde Perry, who hosted the outing as part of his birthday celebration.
In the clip, Perry was filmed alongside Osimhen, with Ndidi and Awaziem visible in the background as the celebration continued into the early hours of Sunday.
Osimhen, who was given a warm reception on arrival at the club, had earlier returned from Morocco after taking part in the team’s dressing-room celebrations.
Nigeria claimed the bronze medal on Saturday in Casablanca after edging Egypt 4–2 on penalties following a goalless draw in regulation time, earning the country a record ninth third-place finish in AFCON history.
Goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali starred in the shootout, saving penalties from Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush, while Akor Adams, Moses Simon, Alex Iwobi and Ademola Lookman converted their kicks.
Although Osimhen did not feature in the third-place playoff, he played five matches at the tournament, scoring four goals and providing one assist.
Ndidi featured in all of Nigeria’s games except the final group match against Uganda, while Awaziem made substitute appearances in four matches during the competition.
