Reality TV star and SKIMS founder, Kim Kardashian, has revealed that she was diagnosed with a small brain aneurysm during a routine MRI scan a health scare she believes was triggered by the intense stress surrounding her divorce from rapper Kanye West.
The 45-year-old made the emotional disclosure during the season seven premiere of The Kardashians, while speaking with her sister Kourtney, according to Daily Mail.
An aneurysm is a bulge in the wall of a blood vessel that can become life-threatening if it ruptures. Fortunately for Kim, doctors assured her that the aneurysm was small and could be safely monitored through regular medical checkups.
In a touching scene from the episode, Kim was filmed undergoing the scan before breaking down in tears as she received the news. Why the f**k is this happening? she was heard asking over the phone.
She explained that her doctors attributed the condition to stress, pointing to the emotional toll of her high-profile split from Kanye, with whom she shares four children North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
A stunned Kourtney responded with concern, clutching her chest and saying, “Whoa.”
Medical experts note that while many aneurysms remain small and never rupture, women are statistically more likely to develop them.
According to the Mayo Clinic, high blood pressure is the leading cause of ruptures, which can require emergency surgery.
Kim’s revelation adds to her long history of health challenges. She has previously battled psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, and placenta accreta, a severe pregnancy condition that caused complications during the births of her first two children.
In 2022, she also disclosed that her drastic 16-pound weight loss for the Met Gala triggered a major psoriasis flare-up that left her in pain.
The diagnosis reportedly came just as Kim celebrated her 45th birthday in London surrounded by friends and celebrities a stark reminder that even amid fame, success, and luxury, stress can have serious health consequences.
