LAGOS: The curtain has finally fallen on Big Brother Naija Season 10/10, with Imisi emerging as the winner of this year’s highly competitive reality TV show. The grand finale, which aired live on Sunday night, was a thrilling mix of emotions, glamour, and music, keeping millions of fans across Nigeria and beyond glued to their screens.
The show kicked off at 7 p.m. Nigerian time, with the ever-stylish host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu receiving a loud ovation from the cheering audience. Ebuka wasted no time in introducing Adekunle Gold as the night’s first musical act, who lit up the stage with hits from his latest album.
In his trademark deep voice, Big Brother congratulated the nine finalists, calling them All Stars. He reminded them that perfection wasn’t expected since they came from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Co-host Uti Nwachukwu, the former Big Brother Africa winner, added color to the event, dressed in a vibrant yellow agbada.
Ebuka then took a moment to appreciate the show’s sponsors, mentioning each one in turn, before the highly anticipated eviction segment began. K-Bobo was the first to be evicted, followed by Isabella, Menssen, and Jessen J. Only K-Bobo’s highlight reel was shown due to time limitations.
Uti later introduced Ife Oderere, the Brand Manager of Guinness stout, who addressed the audience briefly before Ebuka returned to announce Kola as the next housemate to leave the house. Shortly after, Iyanya took the stage as the second musical performer, thrilling fans with an energetic performance that kept the crowd on its feet.
The next eviction saw Sultana leaving the house, narrowing the competition to the final three Imisi, Dede, and Koyin. After a brief highlight clip of Sultana’s journey, Ebuka dramatically announced Koyin’s eviction, leaving only Imisi and Dede in the race for the grand prize.
Adding to the suspense, Uti Nwachukwu welcomed brand managers from MultiChoice before turning to Ebuka, who invited ex-housemates Kulture and Thelma to predict the winner. Kulture confidently said, Na Ijoba — that means Imisi!
Adekunle Gold returned for another electrifying performance before the final announcement. When asked what she would do if she won, Imisi said she would take her mother, grandmother, and siblings out on a special family date. Dede, on her part, vowed to buy her mother a car.
Finally, Ebuka announced Imisi as the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 10/10, sparking loud cheers and jubilation from fans. The show closed with confetti, smiles, and emotional highlight clips marking the end of another unforgettable BBNaija season.
