He’s Not Going Anywhere: American Woman Claps Back at Critics as She Marks Two-Month Wedding Anniversary with Nigerian Husband

An American woman, Mrs. Erin Harris-Uzor, has taken to social media to celebrate her two-month wedding anniversary with her Nigerian husband while firing back at critics who doubt their marriage.

In a bold and emotional post shared on Facebook, Mrs. Uzor addressed what she described as “negative, miserable, unhappy people, insisting that her marriage is solid and that her husband isn’t going anywhere.

Two months and counting 8/8/2025, I married my husband. We are here, and he’s not going anywhere. To y’all negative, miserable, unhappy people sit back and watch us post all day. Go get some money and get out of your feelings. – The Uzors, she wrote.

Her post was accompanied by affectionate photos of the couple smiling and holding hands, as they marked the occasion with heartfelt captions celebrating love, patience, and perseverance.

The post quickly went viral, sparkin  g a flood of mixed reactions online. While many users congratulated the couple and praised Erin for standing up for her marriage, others questioned her fiery response to critics.

One user commented: Why can’t people allow two adults to enjoy themselves for God’s sake?

Another, however, remarked sarcastically: Looks like somebody who ‘transitioned’ and is yet to be a woman. Whatever. If they’re happy, I’m happy for them.”

Despite the controversy, Erin appears unbothered, continuing to share pictures and joyful updates about her new life with her Nigerian husband, Mr. Uzor.

The couple, who reportedly met online last year, tied the knot in August 2025 in a private ceremony attended by close friends and family. Since then, their relationship has drawn attention both in Nigeria and the United States, with many social media users closely following their journey.

As their love story continues to trend, Mrs. Uzor seems determined to silence detractors with the same confidence and energy that have made her one of the most talked-about cross-cultural brides on social media this year
